Mom's refinancing would cover most of the remaining amount.<\/p>\n
The court-enforced schedule would cover the rest, including interest.<\/p>\n
I wrote down the details.<\/p>\n
Then I placed the paper in the blue folder.<\/p>\n
The folder was no longer full of questions.<\/p>\n
It was full of answers.<\/p>\n
Not every answer I wanted.<\/p>\n
Not every apology I had hoped for.<\/p>\n
But enough.<\/p>\n
For the first time, I could look at the records without wondering whether I had misunderstood.<\/p>\n
